Online Renewals

Receipts: At the end of the renewal process, use thebuttons to print your receipt or email your receipt. You are not required to register with Kentucky.Gov to view your receipt; However, after finishing the renewal you will not be able to log back in and see the receipt again.

Active duty military personnel can renew at no charge and do not have to complete the renewal process.  Instead, email a copy of documentation showing active duty to kyle.elliott@ky.gov.

If you are the spouse of an active duty member of the Armed Forces of the United States who is assigned to a duty station in Kentucky, you may renew your current and active license at no cost, once you provide the enumerated information below by email to kyle.elliott@ky.gov, or by regular US postal mail:

1. Proof in the form of a marriage license or certificate that the licensee is married to a current member of the Armed Forces of the United States; and
2. Proof in the form of the current duty orders that the licensee's spouse is assigned to a duty station in Kentucky.

After we receive this information, you will need to provide satisfactory answers to the standard license renewal questions, which will be emailed to you. All of the above information, including answers to the renewal questions, must be received prior to June 30 of your regular renewal year.  Once your license is renewed, you will receive an email verification of the renewal containing your next license renewal date.

Notification
